hi frenz
had given my exam but flunk the cis component while performed high on the other two comp.could u plz elaborate on what should i focus inorder to pass the exam.appearing for it in another 2 days.

I think I should post it here for people who need it. That is from the class that I took for my CS exam.
CIS has 19 components on the check list:
1.knock door before entering
2. professional in dress/grooming/hygiene
3.introduce self by name
4.make eye contact
5. drap the patient
6. respectful/non judgmental attitude
7. appropriate draping technique
8. use transitional phrase
9. express empathy, reassurances
10. give patient time without interruption
11. ask opened end Qs
12. use nonleading Qs
13. Ask 1 Q at a time
14. use lay language
15. Listen and paraphrase information throughout encounter
16. Was connected and purposeful during the physical exam
17. make summary, diagnostic plan
18. Place the patient at ease, without alarming the patient
19. ask patient if he/she has anyQ and answer promptly
