A. Neonatal hepatitis

B. Stone in common bile duct

C. Sclerosing cholangitis

D. Budd-chiari syndrome

E. Biliary atresia

I thought it too when i did it, but Neonatal Hepatits is usually due to idiopathic cholestatic jaundice leading mostly to an increase only in direct bilirubin. So, try again...

Budd-chiari syndrome (D) after review and double check there are not other alternative......Good Q

Mike, you are right. In fact the other choices in one way or onother are all causes of obstructive type of jaundice leading to direct hyperbilirubinemia more than mixed as it is in Budd-Chiari due to the post-hepatic portal hypertension and liver congestion

Can u Post the Actual Explanation cos i have a Goljan quote saying that its Viral Hepatits which has a mixed picture. And Goljan cant be wrong. So Can u plz post the actual explanation to the question
