sorry to post in this forum but i had to
Hi, I am What the my problem is i am too eager to start my MLE prepration, because i keep fearing that considering my average record, one year preparation during internship will not be sufficient to clear my concepts for clearance of exams.
What i want to know desperately is this, that;
1. Do only toppers in their med school,manage to get 99?
2. Do they study from 1st prof targetting step 1 and reading only good books like robbins, katzung, etc?
3. Is one year sufficient to prepare for step 1,with internship?
4. Do books like kaplan,BRS, clear the concepts properly or they only act as aid to robbins, katzung?
Plz advice me as a young friend desperately seeking advice

If you plan too much ahead of time, you lose your focus. Please , pay attention to your current studies. Make this year a good academic year. In internship, study hard.. if you knw sharvil, then he prep. in his internship...got a 263. Bharatphoenix studied during his UK job, got a 265. They were my inspiration. You can do it.
Just stop stressing WAY before the time.
Kaplan covers concepts if done with DVDs. I was average...first 4 yrs were a joke..Didnt study a lot. Was good only in pharma .I started off kaplan...It was hard at first but once the momentum is built, everything becomes easy. JUST do kaplan. Goljan for patho along with DVDs .
