you'll have to be in last year of school so right now I think you should be enjoying your time
there is no average I guess cause some places charge tuition up to $3500 per one 4-week elective like Alpert (Brown University), some other dont! Some states are much more expensive than others, also it depends on how live, what kind of apartment, whether you rent a car or not, hit on girls or not.... etc
this is where you can search for schools offering clinical electives, by any of the criteria they have but always check the box "schools that accept international medical students":

but u said 6 months be4 the time u wanna schedule there was no places
n when i surf the USCE threads i see many probs need abt 2 yrs to be fixed
like those guys who r screamin they cant have malpractice insurance n so on
regardin the marriage thread i think u should post link to ur profile this is gonna make the chix know to whom they r talkin
im talkin abt that one wz masoret al7areem i dont have to make this more clearer

i ve finished physio ,molecular biology n most of pharm so far
that means im screwed up
i ve IM n pedaitrics in 5th yr like u guys

5th year takes 12 months, who needs to put it off for more? I dont think this is possible but you'll have to ask in your school, wouldnt do that if I were you tho..
What issues need 2 yrs to be figured out? you cant be scheduled anywhere 2 years in advance because schools schedule their own students for a given academic year before they can accept international students..
