Hehehe......Have friend study medicine in usa and work as taxi driver to get money 4 uni.
Wonder why someone travelled to usa and back egypt again........
When u go there if u found externship(graduated so no elective) or assistant job pass it 4 me.

guys it is not the heaven out there
look carefully it is the HELL actually
wat extra bucks ,nice car n so on may do in this HELL
we have heap of probs here but at least still have some remainder of human kind here

today, after going through all the procedures to get my license back.. and all the stupid routines in school to sign an application and a dean's letter, and all the crowd and stupid ppl in the streets and burning weather... gosh... stay quiet!! grin

ur only choice would be an observership, they are relatively pretty easy to get... its difficult to get an externship even if ur a student!!

american fellowship is done after u r done wz ur residency n sure ur steps be4
this is to make ur final speciality
4 example after u finish IM residency u do fellowship to be cardiologist or anyother speciality u like related to IM.
the snacks r don grin

this mean no one can have fellowship without having residensy in america un like british & canada ?

is there resident visitor in america ?

any wany to get certificate in speciality in usa without passing usmle ?

don corlioni, i like ur name btw grin

i guess no one here is aware of the academic track ur refering to, because usually everybody wants to go to the states to practice which cant be done without passing USMLE.. the term fellowship is what ledo has noted earlier, simply a continuation of residency in sub-specialty.. for which u also have to pass the USMLE and some other examinations after residency like ABIM of Internal Medicine..

you can have fellowships after doing your residency in Egypt ( not neccessarily in the U.S. I mean ) but passing USMLE exams is a must.

Hello all Egyptian USMLERS,

I need your sincere advice....

I am single , 28 y , Egyptian.

I have just finished my residency in university hospital (Tropical Medicine & Gastroenterology).

I have got Master Degree (M Sc) in Tropical & Gastro.

I have passed USMLE 1 (82) & 2 CK (77).

I was denied CS Visa 3 times (214b) (no evidence of strong ties in home country).

What I have to do now?

Some people advised me to go to the gulf countries, they may give me high salary . They advised me to apply for US visa from there.

Is it true? What are these countries ?How much they may pay me?

Please help ASAP. I am confused.

I wish you all the best in USMLE Challenge.
