i just have heard that from a friend of mine in the usa
if they have two guys in matching wz the same score they pick the one wz higher grade from the medical school he has graduated from!!!!!
in regarding australia
i don't wanna go there to facilitate passing the usmle..

maybe your friend was talking about AMGs, doesnt really count for IMGs...
But anyway, have you ever looked at expenses of med schools in the states? they graduate from schools with debts over $200.000!! So if you have a green card, you could take loans to pay for tuitions... if you dont, forget that idea!! Stay cool in Egypt, ain-shams is FanFreakinTastic!!!
And extramural electives are rotations offered for visiting students (not enrolled in the school where the elective is done).

which is better??
having the summer there in london to improve my english have some experience that may help me to overcome the culture shock when i travel to the usa and may be some money.
OR have it here preparing 4 the steps
as u know the vaccation of the 4th year is the last one 4 EVAER.
by the way fady im not shamsawy ..lol ..i study in AL AZHAR FACULTY OF MEDICINE...

I don't understand what do u wanna do exactly ??? u r mixing Australia with USA and UK ??? what is ur goal ?? what is ur final destiantion ??? can u afford paying for tuition fees abraod ??? do u have the visa ??? what are ur plans ???

i presented my plans in a messy way
look dudes
my main plan is to take step 1 exam after the 6th year, then to go through the rest of the way
but i need to be fluent not only in english but also in the slang this is a must
so
i thought i should be in the usa in this summer,but the american embassy in cairo........ god bless it
so i shift to london
then i think not only to be there in summer but to complete my study there .....a friend of mine studying engineering will do that.
but the tuition
actually dady has a car ,fiat 127 i may ask him to sell it to afford the tuition..lol

a friend of mine spends every summer in the usa he is a medical student also he told me i can afford the tuition by working 4 money.
on the other hand another told me the same 4 tuition in london
so
i hope i made it clear

man, all ur problem is to improve ur slang !!!!!!!! and u wanna pay all this money just for this purpose this is not the way at all
Look, all IMGs have the same problem as urs, u can overcome this by taking some conversation courses here in Amideast or in AUC .. the plan ticket alone will be over 7000 EGPs, dude use those for ur prep and courses ... u don't need all that .... and it is difficult to travel with tourist visa and then work illegal to finance ur tuition, or go into the dilemma of changing ur visa type while u there to be able to stay, work & study ... and in UK, the jobs are not that easy, in USA i agree, but uk is a hell ...
I've a better plan for u ... u can do like Faddy ( who is NotFaddyAcids by the way  ) .... where u do step1 now and during ur 6th yr, u can apply for elective training in USA and before u get back to Egypt u take CS their .. by this u get a Hand-on experience which is a big + in ur CV .. spend a couple of months their legally improving ur language and ur clinical skills and finish 6th yr with 2 steps and u r 1 step away from pursuing ur dream in USA ... u can do step2 in Emtiaz or little after it, then after u determine ur army status, u apply for residencies ..... How about that ???

This is not true dude, you cant afford the expenses like that... besides as mezo noted, you cant work on a F-1 student visa!
England is even more expensive, its the most expensive country regarding higher education!!
France would be your only choice 500 euros a year for the most part.. I was actually accepted in Champagne Ardenne university in Reims after high school, but then I get back to my mind! All I wanted is to get out of here just like you.. but I guess now you're grown up enough

and wh ab dumping elmtyaz ?
i wanna do that but is their any obstacles in having my final med diploma
and dean`s letter ( i know its not abig deal but just counting things will sabotage my journey)
and alot of things also like verificatoin of med status
P.S i hav army service not like faddy 
so wh u do u say ab that plan?

U can dump emtiyaz and go out, however, what about ur status in USA, i mean u can do this in only one condition, if u hold a Green Card or citizinship, or else how do u gonna stay in USA till u become 30 ????
Ur diploma u won't received it easily, u need to pull some strings and call some people in ur faculty, or u can do all ur emtiaz or the latest part of it as elective, if ur faculty gives u a document stating that u r a last yr medical student while u r in Emtiaz, Ain Shams don't do that, Kasr Ainy & Mansoura do that ... don't know about others, u have to check urself .. but after that period, how do u gonna extend ur stay in USA ??? that's the q that u gotta solve ...

if you surf the thread you find the topic was heavily discussed i gave everybody a headache have no time though right now cuz my exam tom im sorry but in brief, you'll get ur final diploma without el emteyaz but the problem is about timing with match deadlines... and i beleive someone said once that u have to do el emteyaz so that u get j-1 visa, unlike h-1... anyway, try to read earliest pages...

but the major one is our faculty routine (tanta)
thats wh im afraid from .
it made someone who i know 2 repeat 4-5-6th year and elmtyaz bec he break the visa after completing the elective
so this dilemma need 2 be recycled again

buddy, try to go by legal ways , dont put yourself in a dilemma. i heared that if you have close relatives living abroad or they have another citizinship you may be exempted form army (not 100% sure about that). but beileve me the traditional way is the best to go there
