Hey Guys,
kaplan Pathology is sooooooooooo Baaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaad ... Goljan Pathology is so Gr888888888888888888888888888 .... Most of the qs i got wrong in UW are in his notes & lectures, it was a very bad idea not to listen to it earlier, i thought that my step2 knowledge will suffice, but it didn't ... Now i have to discard Kaplan Pathology and start using Goljan notes ....
These notes are gr8, The qs are usually asking Why?? and How ??? and these are not mentioned in Kaplan, but they r in Goljan .... at least if anyone gonna pick something to review from Goljan then definitley Hematology & Nephrology ...
@ Nany, usmler & anyone preparing for step2ck,
I highly recommend that u print out Goljan high yield notes ( 36 pages ) ... and don't just review them, MEMORIZE them like ur names .. forget ur names but remember these, if i had done that in CK, I'd have ended up with a much higher score ... Beleive me ... He said in his lectures he prepared them for both steps 1 & 2 .... really gr8 ...

yes pathology notes of kaplan suck!! It was just citing titles!! that was the problem with me cause I had no clinical background , I used to pass by some diseases that I've never heard of!!

Guys look what i found ...
Goljan has made lectures too for step2, they r 17 hrs, MP3 sound ...
I found it as a part of torrent file for step2 Kaplan videos ... here is the link

The problem is, no one is seeding and also it needs a password, i don't know if anyone of u has these lectures or have any idea about them or know a better link to download them or not ??

The High Yield notes that i recommend for step2 taker, comes in 2 formats, 36 & 100 pages, they r the same, use the 36 pages, they r present with the Goljan Audio files ... print them out
For step1 takers, if u have the old 300 pages Goljan Rapid review, use it, it is gr8, the newer version is too long 700 pages ...
If u don't have either, then u;ve to print the notes that come with the Audio lectures, they are over 500 pages ....

NO Usmler, Read it now It is a must ... Take my word ... it is not like u r starting something new, it is like a collection of the educational objectives of the UW, and even more, as it has lots that u lack in step2 like some genetics, some immunology, these things u don't have so much of info about specially because u didn't do step1 yet ..
It won't consume a lot of ur time ... 36 pages and u've 15 days, if u read 3 pages/day in just 30 minutes then u'll finish in 12 days, and u'll have anohter 3 days to reread ... don't miss any piece of it, u can be asked on the exam. on ur Step1 basic knowledge, they suppose that u've that knowledge even u if u didn't do step1, they did that with me ....
Do it man, it is not a waste of time or confusion at all .. u still r working on ur schedule & just adding 30 minutes at the end of the day for these notes ...

oh and more thing, why are most foreign physicians in the US from India, Pakistan or China? I have read once that indians make like 15-20% out of all foreign docs!!

Actually guys, this story got me so worried, coz after i postponed my step1, i had to postpone CS too and then i won't catch this yr match and by this when i apply next yr ISA i'll be an old graduate as i'd be 6 yrs after my graduation, I've one failure on my record, one low score, ALLAH only knows how i'll perform on the following steps ??? Externships are so Hard to get, I'm getting older, i completed 29 and working my way in 30 ... if i ever got matched i'll be starting my residency at the age of 31, didn't do anything with my life yet, how da hell i'm gonna get married ?? and when??
2 yrs from now, if i got matched, to start my practical life, what if i didn't get matched ??? which is better to spend this yr working on my CV i.e. doing step3 and trying to get externships or should i shift to newzealand, so that i secure a plan B ??? or should i get a job in Gulf area, so that i'll have a job that enables me to get married & start a family , meanwhile working on getting matched too ????

What match? you mean next year's match? you have to have all your steps done by late september so you can be ECFMG certified before ROL deadline on Feb... why havent you started your application yet? you should worry earlier about dates man, but you still have time.. have you booked CS?
You have already started so take the road to the end and see what will happen... I'm quite sure as long as you do your best, you wont get disappointed!!

at least you have options and wonder which one to take, others don't have any ..
focus on your next exam Mezo to get the max. score you can, and then you can set and arrange your papers

u can enter next year match (i mean u can apply this year dude) i know allot of ppl get certified after sep and got aresidency . u can do it broth just believe in u self and focus now on u exam
dont make any thing let u down
