Congrats Ra7man, what a great score, We need a lot of info in fact.
Like the material you study from, the way you memorized things, the time frame for studying , how you managed your exam ( breaks & answer strategy ), personal advices on the preparation and exam.
And whether it makes a difference in doing step 2 CK before step 1 ( cuz I am doing that ) and how to compensate ..

shokra geda, really you make me very happy
well, i will start by general talking about my experience
my study duration was 7 months not all of them is hard work but the last 3 months were with more concentration
I used kaplan notes or book in all subjects in addition to FA in last weeks
regarding the sources kaplan is good and enough and i see that you do not need to look for many sources as this distract you
the exam is not measuring your amount of information but more measure if you understand the information and how to apply it to clinical case
for example i had 4 or 5 qs on ADH and 3 or 4 regarding aldosterone.
so focus one one source of reading.
i used the dvds which is very important espec. in bio,physio, micro + immuno
after finishing the 1st read which took 3 mon. i think is long period but cause i have some difficulty in bio+physio, so i listen to their dvds for 2nd time
during the 2nd read, i solve kaplan q book after each subject. q book is not so important but i recommend it as transition befor UW.
the 2nd read took 2 months.
then i start UW along with 3rd read. uw is very very important,
i should start FA with the 3rd read but i did not as i have some conflict to use it or not
but it really great especially in pharma, micro and physio
so you should use it early after you finish each subject, this makes information stick in your head
i finished UW in 1 month
in the last month i did a rapid read for high yield topic+ FA
i depend on FA in pharma and micro in this period
i took nbme 2 and got 540/228
it near to actual exam,even 2 blocks was easier than nbme 3
note: do not apply the duration of my read on yourself as bio,molecular biology, micro and immmuno courses was weak during my college.

regarding which better ck or 1 1st, there is no sharp answer for that
each one has both advantage and disadvantage
but the clear thing that both steps overlap,if you take 1 1st it makes advantage whem you go for ck and vice versa.
but what i think begining with ck is more better,for many reasons
step 1 score is more important except for little int medicine programs
your clinical knoweldge is fresh as most of us do it during clinical period or the emtyaz
it will give you more experience and you will have the sense of their exam when you go for step1

regarding the memorising things 7ooda.
1- do many exams as you can. solving qs is more inmportant than studying but do not rush and solve qs early.
2- diagrams, figures and charts is so nice it is save time and make information concentated in your mind. also the memory for them is stronger than texts.
3- mnemonic is but do not over use them. in FA you will find mnemonic for everything and i think no one can rememorize them in the exam.
for me i was focusing on mnemonic for stuff that i always forget them
that is my idea for mnemonic.
it is normal to feel that you forget things but do not worry it is normal
FA is helpful to remember micro and pharma.

but tell me, how did u do UW ??? timed, Random, tutor, subject wise ??? and did u took note from it or did not?? and if yes did u had time reviewe them??
Also, can u tell me about ur last week b4 exam. what did u do?? how did u arranged ur last week ?? as i think it is the most critical period of the whole prep.

i did UW , unused, mixed mostly was untimed but makes timing for myself not more than 1hr and some timed.
the important thing is doing it mixed as the real exam is mixed.
i agree with you that the last mon is the most important
i did a rapid read from kaplan notes concentrating on the important topics + FA.
in addition,i have some exam left from UW so i complete it + usmle cd +nbme 2
i was starting with kaplan and leave 2 to 3 hrs for FA and i hr for an exam.
in the last week or 10 days i focus on my weakest point and thing that i always forget+FA
i made a notes of wrong answer in subject wise from UW but did not have a time to look for it

I have another question though : " What parts of step 1 are really needed fro 2 CK and by needed I mean vital ( will be so difficult to answer some step 2CK questions without reading them ) if there are any ? "
Cuz this is my biggest fear Ra7man.
Another thing " Do you have experience about U.S. electives ? Cuz I wanna do that in Emtyaz but I dun know which universities are better and I dun know if it's possible at all to travel in the last 2 months of Emtyaz because of the Military Recruitment ? "
Also can you tell us how did you know that a certain topic is So important or High yield cuz you mentioned that you focused on them in the last month.

regarding the 1st q
i can not give a clear answer as i took step 2 ck befor 1, if i am now studying for step 2 ck i give you information precisely.
but what iam sure about it this will not prevent you from getting high score. you can get high score inshallah do not worry.
may anyone who took ck after 1 can give us any information about that
when you start to solve qs important topic will be clear for you also listening to dvds they give information about that
for example in bio glycolysis,gluconeogenesis,krebs cycle, all enzymes deficiencies in espec. those of A.A

I didn't know that you took Step 2CK before step 1, How did you feel when you were answering the 2 CK exam ? Did you feel that you're missing some info ? What's your score in 2 CK ?
About electives, I was asking you if you had done elective before ( USCE ) and any info you can provide about that .
