Mezo,
when I start the application I don't write my name in it, I find it already written by them from my OASIS records,and when I was completing the application and clicked that my name is not correct, they told me I can't complete the application till I corect my name with form 182 and photocopy of my passport.....,
I sent them yesterday and hope they'll finish soon from this.
now about the eligibility period, I just thought of that lastnight, to take [7-8-9], I'm just feeling bad about it cause I never wanted to be later than july so I wanted to force my self with the eligibility period , but you're true and like this I'll be in the safe side, as it's 100$ now to extend it Faddy

Actually Faddy, I can't be sure of that, coz i didn't face this problem b4, but from my understanding of the rules, u should have started a new Oasis account with a new e-mail and the correct name and it should be different from the wrong name u submitted 1st time .. did u do that ?? or u just used ur Oasis account and started new application on IWA with it???
The same goes for u Nany => do try to create a new oasis account with the correct name and new e-mail, then re-apply again with the new account on IWA , however, i should advice u to call them 1st and inquire about this way ... Coz i'm not sure of this way ..

salamo alikom shabab....this is me...its my first post...sure it wont be the last...anyway...
at the begining i am very glad about the idea ..that egyptians are sharing their future dream together...giving each other the benefit.,..the experience.,all the info anyone would like to know about such an important issue...this is what i call THE TRUE EGYPTIAN SPIRIT...!first of all....i forgot to introduce myself...AHMAD TAISEER...medicall student at ain shams...the last year...interested about the usmle....and here is my first question...but please i need an answer for it...HOW MUCH MONEY DO I NEED TO GET THRU THIS WHOLE THING..?...
i was told it would cost around 60-70,000 egyptian pounds....some said it would cost around 150-200,000 egyptian pounds..!!!!!!....
the expenses i am talking about is other means.....how much would i need to get this thing done....icluding exams fees.....tickets....the money u would need for a place to stay in if u are going fot that interviews...i am really concerned about the expenses...coz frankly if its gonna cost a lot...unfortunately i won't be able to afford it...ok...

I thought about this Mezo, but it toke around 2 weeks before to verify my 1st ECFMG account, so I wanted to try this way 1st and few days if nothing happened I'll either call them or try to make some brand new account and get new ID

how much the whole process costs is almost a non-answerable question but if you need a number, I'd say roughly a minimum of 10 grands ($10,000)
3000 usmle steps + 2000 travel and accommodation for the CS exam + 5000 applying for residency and traveling for interviews..etc

I c Nany, Wish u all the best, but do call them on Monday to speed things up, tell them that u've Faxed the form they requested and wish they could finish the process faster coz u wanna schedule a test soon ...

Exam. Fees Step1 825$, Step2ck 845$ , step2cs 1200 $ .... Staying for a month in USA should cost u about 1000$, however u can stay with friend or family then it won't cost u anything, or at least spare u the rent and some of my friends actually made deals with their seniors where they stay with them completely free and when they get matched and start working pay back to them, but these are very close friends ... flight tickets it depends on the company and on ur destination ... but ranges from 5000 - 7000 EGPs ...

that's why I don't dream ever of getting any residency here at allllll ....,
but my advice to you after passing through this horrible year, is to do what ever you want and don't care about any one....., if you want to leave the night and go home do it, if you want to refuse the resident order do it and never mind, 7atet7awel lelta72e2 we yet'7asam men morattabak and that's all..., just enjoy this year with your friends and do what ever you want we mat'7afsh

hi guys, good luck nany with application
i asked today at the college if i could do electives during elemtiaz , and i was sure to ask and insist on the "last year thing" , the clerck told me this ok and i do could do it, and they will say i'm a last year student, 
but i have to wait till become an intern to start issuing the whole thing, , which means that i'll have to wait till march before applying to any place, the bad thing is the travel allowence from el GISH ,they say its very hard to get and i have a limited time till october , i was hoping to spend 6 month , wich becomes impossible now, may be i'll search for a 2months period, and its better than nothing at all, wish me luck guys

Where is mildanemia to hear that now, c faddy, the same thing in another faculty, it is just a matter of mentality and readiness to help the students ... and also not lying about anything, just matching the 2 totally different systems ... i highly recommend that u transfer ur remaining years to kasr Ainy and leave the sun eyes .. hahahahahahahaha
