I went a couple of months ago to a conference here in Romania. The special guest was Professor Habib from UK. I was very impressed, not so much by the Habib sealer and the resuls of its use or the other research that he is conducted, but by his enthusiasm and love for Medicine in general and Surgery in particular. I wish all of you to achieve at least 1% of his achievements. I think he should be an example for all egyptians and for all of us, an IMG who really made it!!!

Hi everybody
Acually,I started studying for step 1 during the internship but I was very on&off,0ff,off and first I used different review books like NMS & lippicot for the the 1st reading but this was my biggest mistake ( studying from big books and on&off )
then 2nd reading I used Kaplan notes which I found very useful and board related all the notes except path. notes which i used BRS(I love it) then wached some videos (bio,pharma,behav.)
3rd reading in 3 months (q book) after each subject.the FA in the last week
did't do any other Qs
I'd recommend
anatomy (kaplan is ok especially neuro other people say HY is great)
physiology (kaplan or BRS)
bio&gen. (kaplan-lippincot as a referrance)
micro&imm (kaplan)
path (BRS or goljan)
pharma (kaplan-lippincot as a referrance)
behavioral (kaplan notes +video which I think is essential)
No experi. with any Q banks which most people say i is a must, I don't know!!
I had a horrible experiance with the exam ( I would have left the exam unless i had paid > 800$) the Qs were harder than the Q book ( I left 6 qs in the 1st block, 4 qs in the 2nd block, 2qs in the last block due to poor time managment ) but I kept solving. at the end of the exam I thought I've failed or I was going to pass with a score of 75-80 but ELHAMEDULLAH RAPENA SATAR
MY FINAL WORD KEEP STUYING WITHOUT INTERUPTION DO AS MANY Qs AS U CAN AND PANIC IN THE EXAM WHATSOEVER HAPPENS GOD BLESS U ALL GUYS

well anybody can help me and tell me which is more better to improve my cv in the match to have an observership or to do a research or both r not cost effective

i'm graduated many years ago ....decided after long way for training and master degree to pass usmle..
i'm happy i could find egyptian ....so plz iwant advise ..i'm doing usmle 2...wanna take it january so wen i must introduce my papaers,,,,and is it enoug for kaplan books....revision and q books.....i also try to use pretest mcq books......
