A 24 yr old African girl who had her ears pierced lately .. comes up to you with a Keloid on the ear. She is concerened about the cosmetics of the rather large looking Keloid at the back of her ear. You explain her the pathophysio involved in it ... but she asks what can a Cosmetic surgery do.. ? What do you do ... Say yes to Cosmetic surgery .. Or say no to cosmetic surgery ... Keeping in mind the tendency of her to form keloids ?

yes to cosmetic surg. and steroid treatment to decrease keloid formation.
