Hello/Salaam to all
I have my exam in Aug and I want to decide Qbank that I should follow. There are so many opinions out there and at times they can be very confusing as is in my case. I know UW is good as many claimed but why would people say UW is the only solution when so many people in the past aced this exam with Kaplan Qbank and KLN alone? I mean Kaplan is the leading authority in USMLE preparation and they have 30+ yrs experience in this game. For me initially I decided to do both UW and Kaplan then now I changed my mind and I want just focus Kaplan Qbank and safe the time I was going to spend on UW for more KLN reading and KQbank again. I don't know if this is ok?
on the other hand I was thinking that I should do Biochem, Anatomy (histo/gross/neuro) and Physio in UW as well since so many things can be asked from these. The rest can be complicated thus Kaplan Qbank would be ok. Please advice me on these. I'm the type of person who likes to focus on one thing and master it. Do you think this is good idea?
In short:
option 1: ONLY Kaplan
Option 2: Few subjects in UW + Kaplan.

look the situation is that ppl in the past have succeeded on KLN notes n KQBank but now the USMLE ppl have upgraded their question bank and the PDs have changed their criteria of selection. its always good to have the options open. KLN still hold the Key but the UW style of ASking Question Remarkable in the Sense that their q make u think laterally n amke sure u know the topic inside out before u can easily score a 75% on their Qbank. The Most u can do is Master KQbank n KLN n then Further updated or add to ur knowledge by doing UW qs,
It Wont hurt u if u dont do UW qs but it will definitely help u a lot cos the real exm expects u top think laterally they drop off hints in the question. The Questions in the REAL Exm r structured to see if u pick up the hints n come off on the HOW A Disease is happening ie. Pathophysio.
But the CARDINAL RULE IS DO WHTEVER WORKS FOR U despite the fact tht most of the ppl say otherwise cos in the end its u who is gonna thru the material n if u arent comfortable with something u wont be able to master it but thts the point of entire life. TO OVERCOME ADVERSITY

Thank you New-n-lost. If it will help me then I'll do both. At least it's better to go over than not to do UW. thanks once again. May Allah the almighty help you get 99 or 100 (the first to get this score, i know it doesn't exist but you got me).
