A 64 year old female is treated with warfarin for A fib develops acute pyelonephritis that requires ceftriaxone. Soon after, her PT and INR are elevated. Warfarin's action is enhanced in this patient due to the effects on which of the following. a- absorption b-hepatic absorption c-plasma binding protein d-competitive antagonism e- renal excretion.

the answer os d- competeteive antagonism becasue the antibiotics removed alot of the bacterial flora which produces vit k. So theres less vitk which means less antagonism of the warfarn effects.
