A 55 yo female with RA is being considered for etanercept therapy. Which of the following tests should be performed before beginning treatment? A- LFT B- PPD C- PFT D- Visual exam E- Fecal occult blood Kinda mix of pharn and immuno/micro- i thought it was a good integration.

PPD.. as etanercept is TNF inhibitor so reduces cell mediated immunity leading to reactivation of latent tuberculosis..
