Patient has ureteric stone measuring 0.5 cm in diameter.IVP shows mild hydronephrosis and some dye could be seen in ureter.what to do? a)observation 2)nephrostomy 3)transuretheral lithotomy

a) observation for 72 hrs with fluid load... Stones of this size are believed to pass down on their own, with lots of pain though...

Yes, ureteric stone can be observed with adequate fluids and hopefully the stone will be passed out.
