hi friends
i got my result yesterday and i passed CS
here r some of my tips for those who r preparing for the exam:
practice is the key to the success for every exam but it works excellent for this exam
i studied for a total of 15 days and my materials are FA n UW
daily i used to practice 4 to 5 cases in a timed mode from knocking
the door to saying goodbye on my husband and 2 online friends
u will NOT do anything different than the way u practice
stay calm during the exam
keep smiling
write down the name of the patient on the blue scrap paper which will be given to u and try to address them always by their name
and DO write down PAMHUGSFOSS on the blue paper so that u wont forget to ask anything
give 1 complete minute outside the room to write all these and also 2 to 3 DDs so that it gives an idea of what history to be taken and what PE to be done
remember PE is always FOCUSSED
there is no time for a complete examination and also u will not get credit for doing unnecessary things
counsel the patient and as everyone says it is very important to pass the exam.

Congratulation.

Thanks, re FA ..... old one , here as e book , is Ok or not. Some said latest one have closing, councelling & old one does not have . What do you think ?

Also UW , old one is OK or not, do you need to get latest near the exm again.

Morning, or afternoon , any different, which is better . What is real time fram at exm like start at 8 am or 2pm etc with how long the break , lunch is.

Will it be Ok, address pt with name 1st, then later just as "Sir" or Mam".

ShweHope99.998 i dont know the difference between the old and new FA n UW
i used the2006 edition of FA and it is very good especially the mini cases
i think it doesnt matter much with the AM or PM sessions as long as u r prepared for the exam!!!
and regarding how to address the pt "good morning mr. joyce (or watever)iam dr. hope,
the physician in this hospital.can u plz tell me wat brought u to the hospital today?"
i practiced this sentence and used the same for everyone.

Congratulations suv,

I have a question for u ,did u do uw if so did u followed the neuro exam I'm trying to make it in 5 min it's imposible.Did u get any neuro case if so how did u managed ?I mean starting from heent etc...

hi..suv....Congrates first of all on passing the exam!!!I have one question:How can we measure orthostatic vital signs in exam??Is there enough time for the 5 min lag period from sitting to supine position...pls let me know soon..thanks.

No there isn't enough time...
you could probably list it as one of the diagnosis lab test to be performed
