I passed my CK first time!! im taking my CS next friday, one more to go!!! I dont know my score yet but will post when received, the OASIS trick worked!! it said i cant retake a test i passed. It was the 30 most stressful seconds of my life. It was barely updated tonight midnight friday ( ive been checking daily), so for others waiting for the update wait till midnight fridays not wednesdays as thought. it took almost a month to get updated, long wait but im happy!!! good luck everybody on your ck or step exam and thanks for al your support, i will post my score and exam prep info for those interested.
for those of you doing the oasis trick for your exam i have some info that might clear up rumors.
this is how it works..
go to www.ecfmg.org
go to oasis and sign in
click on usmle/csa score reporting information
look under your most recent step 1 score/step 2 ck score/ step 2 cs score
if under that you can read a exam date and score report date information and not blank then that means that your OASIS exam report info has been updated.
this means you can check to see if you passed.
log off and go to www.ecfmg.org
go to IWA and apply for examination.
log in.
click begin a new application apply for usmle step 1/ step 2 ck/ and or step 2 cs
click on the test you want to know whether you passed or failed and then next. at the end of this post i copied and pasted what it will say if you passed.
now for clearing up rumors...
you have to wait at least 2-3 weeks for oasis to be updated. In my case it took 4 weeks. Dont do the trick before because you will think you failed. Many people said they tried the trick and it let them register and then they ended up passing. personally, sorry for those who failed but I think its just a way to keep faith. Im very sorry if this doesnt work for you but its better to know now then to get that ugly letter in the mail. Either they did the trick to early or they did it wrong, if you click on the wrong exam when trying to register and have passed it it may tell you you have passed and may think wrong b/c its the wrong exam your checking.
another rumor, oasis is updated wednesdays. My oasis got updated tonight friday at mid night. I have been checking 3 times daily since wednesday night and it barely got updated, i think they are busy now. Also, during these months oasis will probably never get updated until at least 3-4 weeks so dont expect it to be updated 2 weeks after your exam.
also why Oasis trick? this should be called IWA (interactive web application) trick because IWA tells you if you passed or not, not OASIS!!!

Our records indicate that you have already passed this Step or Step Component or the equivalent NBME® Part. The USMLE Policy on Reexamination generally does not allow applicants to retake a Step or Step Component if they have already passed that Step or Step Component or the equivalent NBME Part. There are, however, certain exceptions to this policy:
Exception #1: Applicants pursuing H-1B visa status who have passed NBME Part I and/or Part II may take the equivalent Step(s) to meet the examination requirements for this visa.
Exception #2: Applicants who have already passed a Step or Step Component or the equivalent NBME Part may retake that Step or Step Component if they need it to comply with a time limit of a medical licensing authority for completion of all Steps or a requirement imposed by another authority recognized by the USMLE program for this purpose.
Exception #3: Applicants who have passed all or a portion of the NBME certifying examinations, Part I, Part II, and Part III, or the Federation Licensing Examination (FLEX) Components 1 and 2 and have never been granted a medical license by a U.S. medical licensing authority, may take any Step(s) for which they are otherwise eligible.
Exception #4: For the purposes of ECFMG Certification, ECFMG requires that applicants pass those USMLE Steps or Step Components required for ECFMG Certification within a seven-year period. Effective June 14, 2004, applicants must pass Step 1, Step 2 CK, and Step 2 CS within a seven-year period for ECFMG Certification; this new seven-year requirement applies to applicants whose earliest USMLE passing performance that is valid for ECFMG Certification took place on or after June 14, 2004. Prior to June 14, 2004, ECFMG required that applicants pass Step 1 and Step 2 CK within a seven-year period for ECFMG Certification; this prior seven-year requirement continues to apply to applicants if their earliest USMLE passing performance that is valid for ECFMG Certification took place before June 14, 2004.

Ok I got my results today...
90, 221!!! im happy!
my prep 5 months, took kaplan live lecture course, read kaplan books 3 x. then did kaplan qbank, timed unused questions and went over right and wrong questions. got 66%. this was 3 months before my exam. then i read first aid 2 x and read secrets 2 x. then began usmle world in same mode and did whole thing and ended up with a 64% cummulative, nbme was 490 one month and a half before my exam. studied 8 hrs for first 3 months and then 10-12 hrs for last 2 months.. i was hoping for 95+ but im happy, my advice is take these exams as a marathon, we are all running to finish line, those that tire out get passing or avg scores those that push harder get the 90 + scores. Your score is all up to your had work, nbme is very precise. real exam was very hard but i felt confident because of my nbme. my best advice is do qbank first and then usmle world. qbank is easier than usmle world but usmle world really tests you for making sure you know your stuff. I think usmle world wins in prep for ck, qbank wins for step 1. just being honest although kaplan medical is the leader over all for all step preps. im taking my cs friday, hope all goes well.

Thanks, very useful. My result's been posted today (friday evening european time) and i tried your trick right away. Showed that i had passed. I will be awaiting for the result.
Good luck with CS. I did it within one week from CS. DO you think trick will work for CK too. I will try and let you know.
Absolutely agree on qbank and usmleworld points. Live lectures great, qbank is biased and much easier.

hi ..even i gave my exam on the 30th of april ..plz let me know iff ne body 's oasis gets updated ...n yeah ..the exam is easier then the usmle world ..but it's a good tool for preparation ..but i dunoo i m just worried about the exam ..dunno howi did...have just kept my fingers crossed plz pray for me

I just got my results today. OASIS did work. I got 83. It took 3 weeks for the international mail. Usually it takes 20 days from the date of your exam till the day of the generated result. CS result can take 3 months. I still didnt get mine and wont for anohter 2 months.
