34 man comes after trauma, with rebound tenderness around his umbilicus, normal BP and normal HCT. XR, abdominal ultrasound and CT are normal. next step? answer is peritoneal lavage! Don't we take the patient with acute abdomen to operating room? When CT and sono is normal, why lavage?

This makes no sense to me. Isn't DPL employed for hemodynamically unstable patients where there is no time to do CT scan? I'd pick OR!
