One of the most used tests for this organism is the CLO Test. The biopsy tissue is pushed into a little well of urea agar and sent to the lab for incubation. If the urea turns positive, the CLO test is considered positive for H. pylori. Sometimes we receive the tests already positive when we log them in. We hold them 24 hours before calling them negative.
