Which sequence of events?

Steroids first and than MRI
Or X-rays - Steroids - MRI?

Steroids should definitely precede MRI since the latter takes time. However, I'm not sure whether X-rays are necessary prior to initiation of treatment.

Why would you like to do an XR prior to initiation of treatment?

I wouldn't. With clinical picture clear, I'd just shoot steroids. Does X-ray have a place in Dx at all?

Yes, on further thought, the presentation of th epatient willl decide whether xray has to be performed or not.
