So, I took the Step 1 exam today. The questions seemed not that hard as I expected, compared to Kaplan q-bank and UW q-bank. Lots of pathology, supreisingly few biochem and genetics!? Does anyone have similar feeling about the seemingly "easiness" of the test right after the test? Or, maybe I was just tricked by the USMLE and missed some important hidden info in teh question stem?

Hello houston: First of all good luck on your score. I have read your previous posts and I would expect 99 for you ...GL. Can you please post your experience in more details once you catch your breath? By the way, your post was timed at 2:16pm I think...was that in PDT...cos if it was in eatern time, then what time did you start your test..?

i did mine on Aril 24, exactly the same as yours, not much biochemistry and genetics. most questons are straightforward.but i have checked and did 18 questions wrong.i have to say more than half of the 18 , i should have did right.really easy, but you get confused sometimes.

After the test, i told my friend how easy it was, but I also know at that time i was not sure about many easy questions.I was aiming 99 during preparation, now i only wish i can get above 90. they also tested several comonn sense questions, which we never met in the q-bank or uw. i think in the q bank or uw, i did not have trouble to choose the only perfect answer, but in the test, the choices are so vague, that you must be very careful. you must look very carefully and be sure that there must be the only perfect answer. other answers might seem right, but actually not.

Hi, NYC_IMG, I am in Texas, so the time is different from NY time. I sarted the test aorund 7:45 AM after check-in, skip the first 15 min tutorial. I sure will post my prep experience once I get my score (hoepfully a good score otherwise no point to waste other people's time to read my prep exp. Anyway, it is a big relief for me: a OLD graduate!

well after i came out from the test i was shocked and i m still in depression , but regarding uw i had 10 questions exactly the same !!! and that made me happy in the 2nd and the 3rd block , u know when i saw them i was really happy and amazed , i said " what make u come here ..lol " and i thought till block 3 the exam is ok , but after that oh shit , it was getting worse and i m now affraid of failing , so my advice u dont know ur feeling after the exam or may be u dont have one feeling , i have more thatn 10 feelings/day , and tons of nightmares ! i think being happy is comfortabel and this is a good sign and it depends much on ur prepartion , hope we get our dream score .

hi guys, i got the same feelings right after the exam, and now i'm having nightmares.. qts seemed to be really easy compared to uw, and i didn't have the patience to read it till the end, just had the answer ready on my mind and try to find it in the answer options, without even looking at the other options.. my cummulative on uw was 72%, but now i'm seriously afraid of failing..screwing up the real thing.. had exam on april 24....

Oh my God! Now I start to worry about it after hearing what you guys have said... I was very nervous in the first a few min during exam (block 1). The first a few questions happened to be really long and I felt like my heart was going to jump out my throat. I had to do Valsava to slow down my heart. When I encountered some really short (1-2 lines) and "easy" questions, I was like "are they trying to give away points?" . Since I did not believe so, I ended up spending unnecessarily long time to ead over and over again trying to fiind out hidden message. Let's see what happen in a few weeks, and good luck to you all who are also waiting anxiously for the score!
