Helo evry one.How is preparation going?
I am doing FA only and doing Q bank.
My score is still not improving.
I am planning to reread my Kaplan again.
I need to sit for step one by December.
So have you guys schedeled yours test or not yet?

 Hey All,
Can I join too? I am a '99 grad, got married, travelled and eventually settled in the US. Now I am starting prep for Step 1 and it is not easy. I am working full time like some of you and finding it tough to juggle home/work and studying. Tell me how you guys do it? Sometimes my body starts to give up before my brain does. I get too tired. Not to mention the dark cloud of being older...
Haven't yet taken the date but should i do it before a first read?
Good luck to you all and thank you so much for this thread, it gives a lot of hope to an oldie like me

a quick orientation read of Kaplan in like 3 months will make you feel great on how you gotta schedule yourself for the best score fitting you
no Qs and no memorising just like see whats where and bringing memories back from school days and see the topics to be strengthened ... think about nothing but do it then the second read with Qs will be so much fun and confident for you...trust me

Awwwwwww.. thanks for the kind advice feyza and doc123. I was till now trying to memorize everything, but it wasn't working. But this seems like a better approach. Should i register for a date already? And if so, how much time should it take?
I keep reading these messages on the forums about old grads jugging all these things together. But can we actually do it? Are there any success stories around? sorry for being so annoying, it's just that i feel like my goal is so far away.

no worries we all walked through this and many of are waiting to
getting the day is a great motivation but if I were you I would do that after this first read and making a realistic program counting the inevitable interruptions too ...
and OF COURSE WE CAN DO IT IF WE WANT IT ENOUGH AND DONT GIVE UP !!
you are not feelins so...it is away but its you to bring it near you in whatever pace you want it to come with your patience positivity and consistency
9 days to my exam so feel horrible but will be pleased to help in detail after Im done with mine

Hi guys,
I am an old graduate 2001. I just started preparing for usmle step 1 and need a lot of motivation.
have a few questions, my kaplan lecture notes are as old as my graduation 2002. will it be enough or should i get hold of 2007? i am planing to read only kaplan, maybe refer to BRS and after kaplan i plan to do FA. Kindly advice guys

oh oh by the way ...dont only DO FA but as a famous saying of me says : MAKE AN IV FORM OF FA AND ABUSE IT AND GIVE YOUR LETHAL DOSE IN YOUR LAST 10 DAYS
