Hi guys

I just got my results for Step 1 and I received a 171=68%, failing....I'm very nervous about to go about starting up a new routine. I took an 8 week Kaplan course, did Usmle World.....read the Kaplan books, did SOME of Goljan and none of First Aid or any other Q banks....I have to take the exam in June or July and it will be my last chance with my school so the pressure is really on.....can someone please help me come up with a new plan????

Thanks,
Isabelle

That very sorry to hear, but hey look at your weak areas and strat reviweing form there.

Did you did any NBME before the test?
Can you tell us, what were you scoring in UW, first time around?, so we can have an idea of what can we expect.

No I didn't take any NBMEs...as for UW my lowest was 40, and my highest was a 64. Hope that helps..

Revise whatever weak areas you had from the exam.....number them from the weakest to strongest. make a timetable for urself....once you have done reviewing your week subject take an nbme.....see if you have reviewed the weak areas well. Also read the first aid....its very helpful...because in pressure situations/exam....remembering little details from the first aid will bring in alot points. Also determine in the weak areas if you are lacking facts (things to memorize) or lacking concepts....according to that approach what books you wanna use. Good Luck
