Oh comeon guys, give that guy a breaksticking out tongue

Wyb,The s/s of both are the same--->Polydypsia and polyuria
except that in D.I--->we have NO SUGAR in urine and the Blood sugar levels are normal, and in D.M both are elevated, another diff is that in D.I--->NO ADH--->so Hypernatremia--->normal Urinary NA and low urinary osmolality

While D.M---->pseudo hyponatremia(Hypertonic hyponatremia------>insulin deficency--->myocytes becomes impermeable to glucose----->glucose being a effective osmole draws water from muscle cells---->hyponatremia

T/T--->DM is diet, exercise insulin and /oral hypoglycemic
D.I--->depending n the type of DI--->t/t can be desmopressin, TZD, or SIADH inducing drugs( NSAIDS, clofibrate, carbamazepine etc)

Thanks guys for caring about me so, especially appreciated Aashi to give me the explanation in details! Yes, I know pretty shame on me, it seems to me that I was a student at the beginning, in turn you wouldnt believe that I am an very old IMG who has a research experience of immunology for several years and a clinic experience of anesthesia for many years. Now I am starting to pick up those knowledge I learned long long time ago, it is very tough for me to particularly relearn the basic concepts. Hopefully, guys in forum will continue to help me out, and wish us GL for the future!!!
