I start my prep today, hopefully will complete it within 3 1/2 months

Be focused and concentrated

Today:

Anatomy: Histology section

  #2

Yesterday I struggled with the Histology section and my concentration. Feeling like ADHD after my test. It is hard to sit still for a long period.

I finished 50 pages, Cell structure, neurology, muscle and integument histo. A bit slow

Will do better today for the remaning 50 pages of Kap notes on Anatomy-Histology

  #3

Finished Histology part,

Start to review in FA and other ref for some points

Look for some nice EM photo...

And go ahead for embryology today!

Anatomy takes a long time to go, so I think I should change the way to access

What i am doing now:

- Register online UW 3 months and use it as a tool for study (to read faster Kap notes), especially HY. I dont want to spend much time for Anatomy for example, to have 10-20 Qs on the exam, while I dont have more time to do other parts, esp Pathology.

- Use Kap notes as ref source in parallel with Qs. After I have a general view and HY points of each specialty, FA may help me to remember things.

- About Pathology, I will use Rapid Review of Pathology (Goljan book, 2007) as a source.

Finished Anatomy of the Chest. Today: Abd and Pelvis

  #5

Finished Abdomen only, and 15 Qs of UW. It is quite tough to study Anatomy and Embryo alone !

Found somethings important

- Pharyngeal arches
- Abnormal of differentiation, Fusion, Apoptosis, Proliferation
- cleft lip
- Potter Syndrome
- Aniocentesis for Dx

Today: Pelvis, Limbs

  #6

Finished 43 UW Qs in embryology.
Cannot finish the limb anatomy, have to do today
Start reading more in clinical oriented anatomy for some concepts

Feel overwhelming about things to do for a short time! Yesterday I read the ashdoc post and tried to learn some experience from him who wrote an academic thesis about USMLE preparation. At the end, I decided to have the new version of Review of Medical Microbiology and Immunology (2006). Don't know I could read it or not.

Okay, just give it a try!

Yesterday was an off day. I still struggled with Anatomy today. Knowing that it is not HY but I cannot omit anything they want me know.

Friends, which book is good for gross anatomy? Don't tell me about the Bible Netter or Gray's, I am scared of the thickness !

Was busy today, so I am behind my schedule now. Just finished upper and lower limb. Feel hard to digest the pelvis anatomy!

I think that I will be back to them after I try some Qs in UW and Qbook
