Hello All,
I am a newbie to this website. I am trying to fill my online application for my Step 1 and kinda stuck. Going through this site made me understand what Form 186 means but I didn't udnerstand this statement in ecfmg.org website.

""Form 186 must be completed by the graduate and certified by an appropriate official. This certification must be current; the official must have signed the form within four months of its receipt by ECFMG (see Eligibility for Examination).""
Can anybody please tell me who is this Appropriate Offical?

hi Anishiva,i just did that and i can tell you what i did and yes i found it to be very confusing you have to fill in the 186 form on line and then get a print out and get it signed if you are close to your college go and get it signed from there and if you are like me then i went to abank and got it notirized i just sent that form on the 20th i am still waiting for areply if i got it wrong then i'll let you know

hi there well i have done most things in kaplan just about to finish pharma i hope ill be done by tommorow then i have to do behavioural and anatomy all of it neuro included,iam also using kaplan cd's i plan to also do FA and i have to dp patho 1 more time ill do goljan
so how is your preparation did you get the 186 signed

Not yet may be I ll get it done by end of this week.Started with anatomy .even i m doing kaplan n Snells. Its time consuming.How do you rememder drug names?

hey Anishiva how's it going for you well what i am doing is i have a small notepad and when ever i am done with 1system of drugs i write the name of the drugs clinical use and side effects and i plan to keep looking at them throughout and make sure a cram a whole system every day b4 i sleep and just test my self now and then i plan to take my note pad when i will go to work if i am doing my grocery shopping and waiting on line i guess then pharma will be covered if you read it once and keep cramming though out your prep

friend ur very working hard! Im doin head n neck anatomy.hoping to see some muscle physiology also lets see.My heart palpitates when i think of pharma. have a productive day!
