NNL makes sense but listen up fellas stop wasting time.....on all this nonsense 'coz that's what's happening...........sometimes when i come in here to the forum to get encouraged i end up feeling worse but there are days and then there are days.......similarily there are ppl and there are more ppl. Look for experiences of ppl. u know of and also like NNL says the ones that have been active on forum, qs and all. Plz. be realistic about ur hard work efforts and ur goals what someone else does or wants or does has nothing to do with u.........like rt. here ,rt. now.........I'm mostly talking to myself.winkgrin

Seriously, the only thing that will help at the end of the day is ur efforts, and ur faith in ur abilities put there by someone much higher not by anyone's exam exp. so my darling, forum readers........get off ur lovely butts and get kicking and stay that way till u write one deary Exam exp. of ur own.....

So now go open ur books read like u never have in ur like do qs. do them well and LEARN LEARN LEARN..............and Each of u will do great based on that and that alone. GOOD LUCK , co- test takers!

Agreed more than 100% ( if there is anything of that sort wink ) with mytime. I DONT WANNA pick up an argument with NNL, cause I truly understand and appreciate what he is contributing to this forum. Guys good luck, with your prep. This forum is about sharing and believing since nobody knows whether things that are being said are true or not.
Also, I was trying to answer the query of the original poster. Best of luck guys for your prep.

I’ve always been skeptical towards exam exps. It’s hard to believe so many 99’s being posted lately without score report as proof. Generally I agree with NNL.

To aim99, average step 1 scores among US applicant for neurosurgery is 235. As IMG you certainly need more than that to become competitive, something like 250+. To get an neurosurgery position at “hot” spots such as baylor, UCSF, even excellent MLE scores wouldn’t suffice.
