To Alzheimer patients... they do a test for the recall of items from a list of common objects read out to them, called 'word list learning tests'. Recall might be checked immediately after reading, after ten minutes or even longer

The test consists of a series of memory trials using a 10-word list. The individual is shown the words on the list and then asked to recall them .

These results represent the highest degree of accuracy reported for a word-memory test in detecting the earliest stages of Alzheimer's disease

Feyza......... Allah Hi Allah Kia Karo = Only Take God/Allah's Name Always
Allah Hi Say Dara Karo = Only Fear God/ Allah N No one Else.

A sentiment from a Mystic Muslim Poet of the Pakistan.

thanx nnl...I liked the meaning...

I guess its bc the earliest thing they lose is to recall things and also the most predominant problem effecting the life so they do this in the clinics...

I think that to diagnose dementia it's required to find memory loss plus a decline in at least another superior cortical function like orientation, tasks execution, praxia etc.

Because this pt is disoriented, if he also have memory loss we should be able to diagnose dementia so I would go for recall

By the way if I was in charge of such pt I would have done a mini-mental test which evaluates all of the given options...
