blueprints says start antibiotics and steroids if it happens before 36 weeks.

But UW says start only steroids.

I'm wondering how we're gonna keep the patient with ruptured membranes without antibiotics!!!

Kaplan says steroids if <32 and Ampicillin or Erythromycin if PROM occures <36 wks. So I would stick to Blueprints.

If I understand correctly, the most imp. cos of PROM is ascending infection. Hence, you have to start antibiotics......
