no nnl...silvers right...its the histone...

the poly A tail added during the transcription functions to carry the mRNA to cytoplasm to be translated...since the histon works in the nucleus...it does not need to be carried to the cytoplasm ...

wait confused that was wut they said in Kaplan lectures but Im confused now...then how is it going to be translated in the nucleus raised eyebrowconfusedconfusedrolling eyesdisapproval did I miss something ?????

the histone mRNA ends in a conserved stem-loop rather than poly-A tail. the 3' end of histone mRNA binds a single class of proteins known as stem-loop binding proteins (SLBP). the stem-loop is required for efficient translation of histone mRNA. the stem loop promotes localization of histone mRNA to polyribosomes.

this stem-loop is essential for pre-mRNA processing, nuclear export, histone mRNA translation, and degradation regulation.
