hello all

i have couple of queries friends,

1. i have lors from med school which will be 1.5 years old by sep 1. should i get them again with recent date.
if yes than what is the appropriate time to do that.
i mean, do i need to wait till aamc id or i can manage it without it if i want them to make waived.

2. MSPE: i have dean's letter but i don't think my med school will make graphical data. what is the minimum i soulh have as MSPE. any one has a rough template. i mean, kind of things we can have on MSPE being IMg. i can't go their personaly to request one.

thanks

1. You can use those same LORs. It should not be a problem.
2. You can use the Dean's Letter. MSPE/Dean's letter is not that important for IMG's.

thanks silenced md

so date on LOR is not that important... ok
one more thing. i have those letters in sealed envelops with sign of professor on the flap.
i don't have aamc id in thier as i never applied for residency. so how can i get aamc id in it.
can i simply mentions it on the envelop or i put both lor release form and sealed LOR in other envelop??? just confused about the process.

thanks for your guidance

What matters about the LORs is the content and not so much the date. Though, it is better if your LORs are not older than 2 - 3 years, so yours should be fine. You will get your AAMC # when you pay for ERAS. I think you can write your name and AAMC # on a Post-It and paste it to the LORs. They recommend that if you don´t want to write on the documents to avoid messing them up, you can write your identifying info on a Post-It and paste it on the documents. So you may put the Post-It on the envelopes and put them all in a bigger envelope with the submission form.

I understand you, I know how stressful and time-consuming it is sometimes to chase doctors to get LORs.

Post-Its are those little paper notes: http://www.3m.com/us/office/postit/products/prod_...
