some questions which I was not able to find the answer to on the ECFMG website.

What is the purpose of getting the permanent validation sticker?

Is it necessary that I get one?

Does my certificate expire? If so when does it expire?

ok, here's the answer to my own question.

If you passed CS and not the old CSA, your certificate is valid indefinitely and you don't need the get the permanent validation sticker.
