im feeling low..not at all prepared. 2 weeks for ck.have not read a few topics fr kaplan even once.but read most of im,surg, obgy. still gotto read epidemio,paed few chaps . not done with fa,doing uw and reading topics together.
i knw im in a pathetic situation but am embaressed to tell frens(some who were studying with me but hv finished wth ck long back) and family that i want to postpone the exam for the umpthieth time.my family is waiting for my exams to get over so that i can start with imp things ive kept on hold.
in this situation is it possible to score if i try hard?i knw once i take the exm unprep it wl b a chance lost.
im really confused ..in a fix.brains just not functioning inspite of the time constraint.what do i do?i feel like a failure coz im not even earning.im a stressed ,cant even enjoy till the exam is done with.
has anyone felt the same and knows what to do?

Only way to find out where your at is take the NBME practice test.....good luck

hey..niche...don't worry...I am in the same boat..exam in 2 weeks,family just waiting for me to get done with my exam(like they r studying & i'm enjoying my time  ..I have delayed exam twice before & honestly speaking I dont wanna delay it any more...so I took nbme around the start of april..scored 390..not very good but still am believing in God ..am covering most of my weak areas by reading the uw & related kaplan notes & am planning to take it the REAL Exam on time for a change ...b/c I've come to the conclusion that unless we fix a date, we'll never feel ready to do it so why not just take the exam the way we'd do when we were in Med school & couldn't delay the dreaded exam day...so take it like that & just work ur head off in the next 14 days!!!!
Hope it helps...all the best to both of us...we can do great...we only need to recognize our abilities & work to polish them.

thanx so much for the encouragement.and best of luck dr.luck don't think ull need it going by ur name though.
the plan is to study with a cool head and not panic bcoz then can i speed up and 4 days before the exam see how i feel..dunno but i keep oscillating betw feeling v.anxious and at times too cool.need to keep a balance...

high low!!!
well people...iam wtih you guys too...exam just 5 days away...took nbme in middle of april and scored just 390...cant delay the exam coz my wedding is ahead...everyone in family is waiting for me to get done...i just wanna pass...but im scared because in step1 i scored 450 in nbme and got only 80...so for me nbme wasnt that accurate....but still what people say is mostly true...so i was thinking when i took 450 and didnt get good score...what will happen now...just 390...i wish to pass or it will ruin all the pleasure and excitment of my wedding

things are looking better.
just following my moms advice...leave all worries of - will i score well and what if ...abt the future, in gods hands he'll take care of that..... u just concentrate on the present and try ur best,leave the rest for god to do...and u have to take the exam so do it happily ....dont waste ur life cribbing.
i'm sure we will all pass...we've come so far now theres no stopping us.

hello guys...
Hpw did your exam turned out/? Is now june so I assume you all have your scores at hand.
I am preparing now for my exam... is on july 7th... I have so much in my mind... I am now doing UW Q is not going right at all, I am allways below the averge score, I am reall freaking out now... but like you guys I have no chance since my daughter is away only for this month. Hpw did it go for U? do you have any advice for a very concerned mother?
