i can imagine your state of mind Ishter, I was in the same boat a couple of weeks ago.. speak with your lawyers again, and make sure they are not waiting for any paperwork.

My H1B was filed on 20th May, recieved by USCIS on 25th May ( according to tracking ) and approved on 1st May.- ofcourse on premium processing... so the process is quick at USCIS end ( as far as my experince is concerned).

Information: for those applying for interview at London embassy : earliest date available for interview is 11th June.

So probably you will get your I797 by mid May... that is great... I can only insist until my application is filed... shaking head

do keep probing your lawyers to find out the reason for the delay in filing...if the paperwork is complete and your hospital has filled in the paperwork, then hopefully H1B should be filed soon.....time is flying.

Well Moozy, today I received the list of documents to complete my visa application...confused... which means that I only have 6 weeks to send the docs, file the petition, and get my visa...shocked

I am starting to think that I won't be able to be there on time...shaking head

hey havn't u sent the docs already to the lawyer.

  #31

what did you send when you sent the initial application?

complete all the documents and courier to ur lawyers. Hopefully, if things are complete at your hospital's( filing H1B)end and your lawyers files the petition in a week aftr document receipt, it should not take that long with premium processing... keep faith. Even the lawyers are aware that u need to start the residency on a certain date.. they will hopefully be quick.
