I applied for b2 visa for step-2 cs and got it rejected under sec214-b..i.e.potential immigrant.
the interviewer was very receptive initially, asked my score and subject of interest.i told them that i am interested in research in Rf ablation for cardiac arrythmias etc etc..but rejected my visa finally..

is rejection forever..can i never step into US.should i forget my dream of a residency in US.
can someone help me regarding this.Has anyone reapplied and got thier visa after rejection..

First of all dont, stop worrying. I had a friend who had same situation. But now she is in US-not matched though. So it is not impossible. You have to findout how to do it. But I know you can do it because somene else has done it. Keep up the dreams.

I think you should not hold back. You can give another try but please don`t mention about research this time.Just say u wanna give cs exam and be back after 4 weeks. If officer wants to know abt your interest def mention about your interest to get into residency and your intension to be back to your home town. Research is something to do wch takes time, so it may create a false notion that you have intension to settle there. If you have any doubts you can mail me to kal_9980@yahoo.com.

wish you good luck,

bye

don't give up your hope. A friend of mine was rejected 3 times but finanly, she got visa . The most important thing is you must show them that you have evidences to come back home such as: your properties, your family, your job ...
Good luck
