I have read the materials two times and then stopped to study for three months for family reasons. My exam is in May 31th and I can not extend it anymore.
what do you advise me to do please? do i have time to read the materials one more time from kaplan? or just do questions from UW and read the explanations plus First Aid.
I am desesperate because I feel i do not remember more of the stuff when I do the UW questions.

Dude let me tell you, that we are ion the same boat.My test in one day before yours just so you know. Im doing UW and trying to learn from the concepts. At the moment I'm doing pharmacology questions, and there are some questions that I dont think will be on the test, but the explnation from it is great.

I think I forgot physio, and embriology. and I did them last week, So I actually understand the feeling of forgeting stuff.

I just hope, that I will be able to pass this exam.

Ok back to study.

i am doing the UW too, although my exam is still on june. i think im a bit worst than the two of you. i started answering patho and micro, my scores started from 23/50-20/50-17/50, and the last was 15/50. i felt as if i did not study at all. when i read the questions,i somehow know the diagnosis, then they would ask for a different question and like im at lost. i felt like trying to extend my exam. but at this point, i know doing so would only mean longer agony. also i somehow read before that the mind tends to absorb more when under pressure, so guess just do it then and get over it.

Hi friends it is quite natural to feel that u forgot everything esp when nearing exam...but trust me if u read everything twice it is definitely there in ur brain only thing is to refresh it and the best way is Qs. Almost 1 and 1/2 month is more than enough for one more review, so be confident about urselves and do ur best....

do questions and review fa and kaplan med essentials.

KAP MED ESSENTIAL IS A SUMMARY VERSION OF KAPLAN BOOKS. 400 PAGES U CAN DO IN TWO WEEKS .

DO NOT GIVE UP TRY THESE AND THEN DO A NBME TEST. IF U GET A GOOD SCORE THEN GO FOR IT.

Thank you for your advices, but still I would like to listen from people who just took the exam and used UW questions and FA only. I want to know if I can make the exam with those only sources because I do not have time to read kaplan notes again.

i think that u can read one more time the important things of kaplan and read UW cancepts, a had few qs directly from it and use your FA in the last one or two weeks, i wish u the very best to both of u guys, pract w/ timed mode and try to answer 350 qs one day of the every week u have

Hey drchivago, I took the test on April 4th, email me at - Shiva.Tekmanpani@gmail.com

I can tell you what I think of using UW and FA only

First Aid definetly helps to look at before exam....because when your at the exam...with the time restraint...and length of the test.....you will be amazed how remembering little facts from the first aid will get you points. Also knowing concepts is very important...thats what your UW notes or kaplan notes plays into the role......go our things you are weak at....from your last nbme performance with kap notes +/- UW notes. Dont go over things you are already good at...thats just a waste of time. Good luck.
