Strep. Pneumoniae. Probably because it has a large polysaccharide coat. Polysaccharides are poor immunogens because they rely on response of T-independent B cells. And it's the polysaccharide coat that helps this organism to block complement binding and opsonization.

yesss smiling face its all about the T independent thing...

in thymus independent antibody response, antigens activate B cells in absence of significant T cell help...that means they dont class switch ( no CD 40 -CD 40 interaction) so IgM is the only immunoglobulin. These antigens are generally large polymers with repeating epitopes such as polisaccarides.Thats why encapsulated organisms cause more than normal amounts of IgM response smiling face
