At last i also received my step 1 score, 89/216. Not a hifi score but still it inspires me to do well in step 2. 1 yr back when i started preparing for step 1 i was always doubting myself whether is it possible for just an average student like me, a full time mother of a 1 and 1/2 yr old baby to pass this exam......Thank God that u helped me all the way and thanks to all my friends in this forum. But my greatest inspiration is my hubby who always supported me in all the ways he can...
I dont think im in an ideal situation to advice about hw to study or what materials to choose, but i still say something which may be useful to somebody...
i prepared for 1yr with long breaks lasting 1-2 months in between, so avg i can say i took 9-10 months, 5 months for my first reading during which i covered around 80 % of Kaplan LN,then after 1and half month break i started again with second reading which took 3-4 months along with Q book and FA but didnt complete FA, and i decided i will use my hand written notes only for final review, had another 2-3 wk break in between. then started Q bank in last week of Jan and a selective 3rd reading.... which extended till 25th of Feb and my exam was on Feb 26th.

Q bank i did subjectwise, completed 70% and overall score was 67, it correlates well with my real test score, ie 67+22(20-25).lowest score 48 in cell biology and highest in physio 82.
Usmle cd i did all 3, 38/37/39 ( 1 month back, 1 week back, 1 day back) absolutely no correlation.
Q book i didnt complete but i was scoring in 70s in the tests i took.
Didnt do any NBME bs i was afraid of loosing my confidence and i had seen so many of its Qs in the forum so chances of exaggeration of score was there.

sorry about the discontinuity.... so what i would say is if u got an exam similar to Q bank in Question length and style and u did Q bank in timed mode then the correlation is really true.
Nw onto step 2 forum i go.......
