muscle wekness can be due to either hypokalemia or hypophosphatemia.
Low phosphate - due to rhabdomyolysis, - common in alcoholics
(or mcc hypophosphatemia - resp and metab. alkalosis)
hypokalemia - due to fluid loss due to vomiting - diarrhea.
I guess you are right, phosphorus
