Hi Everyone I'm IMG from Thailand, graduated in 2003. I had scores in 90s[ two digit score] in both step 1 and 2ck and I am going to take step2CS[ hopefully, I will pass in the first attempt] . However, I 've never had any clinical experience in the US ,only some experience in the UK. I am just wondering ,is it any chance for me to match in Paediatrics programs?...please kindly answer me if any one had or knew people who were in my situation and got matched. I will appreciate and thankful.. regard Jake

Of course there were people who got matched without any USCE. But I do believe USCE will help you in understanding how the US healthcare system works, how you make patient records (with different language / abreviations / words etc.). At least with USCE you will know in the first day of your residency what to do/expect, right? If you can get one, do it. Otherwise, just apply as early as possible. It will help you a lot in getting interviews, since your scores are good. And apply wisely, i.e., look at requirements of each institutions.

Most programs are asking for at least one year of usce as a requirement
