My score:

228/95

Total prep time 2 years. Full time employed as a Surgeon as I own and run a busy Surgical Hospital in suburban Bombay.

Average 1-2 hrs a day. But took 15 days off before exam.

Kaplan center prep videos twice.

Kaplan notes Twice.

Kaplan QBook once: I found this to be the best.

Kaplan Q Bank Once

Did not take NBME or UW-Qbank

First aid Twice.

Most Importantly, I listened to Goljan Thrice and read his path notes cover to cover twice.... I just love Dr. Goljan. I sincerely hope I get to meet him in person one day....

Thanks also to the guys posting on this forum. Especially WOMBAT. She was my inspiration to start the prep.

congratulations - u did great. but why would u want to leave an established practice and start all over again in the US, considering how difficult it is to get surgery for IMG's???

a lot of reasons...each of which can be debated strongly here. Most importantly I want my children to grow up in a fair country with equal oppurtunities for all.

Hi Hotobhaga

Hey,
Congratulation. I know you'll be 95 at least, way to go, FT managing own bussiness with study.

Go for it. had friend , male, with orthopedic past long ago , out of practice, but in med related clinical job here, now in surgery in good place few yr ago. So......With your recently, currently in practice, your surgery post is waiting for you. Just do the st 2 & rest as good as the st 1 or around or even better if more. Am sure you will .

It is true, after all we all are here for our children, to get fair, better equal opportunity & life .

Good Luck,
All the best,
nodnod
