Well so here goes my story , old grad (5 years out of med school) doing PhD in basic science, project sucks, I was pretty close to writing the exam 3 years back but due to family and work reasons could not do it , in last 4-5 months I am trying to work and study again for step 1. My typical day - lab 8 am to 6 pm ( Mon to friday) 2-3hours on weekend in between i try to study 3-4 hrs , usually able to do this 5-6 days out of 7, weekend just vanishes , lol. so far I have been able to complete kaplan DVD's (180 hrs) and 1st reading of Kaplan notes + goljan 500 pgs , took me 4months now doing second reading of kaplan + FA , scored 66% on Q book in Biochemistry after 2nd reading of B chem , not too happy these days reading physio . Exam after 4 months . Aiming to finsih second reading in another 60 days. then do questions and revision for 2 months , Aiming for high 90's
This part time thing is killing me , my boss just gave my data findings to his fav post doc ( I fought and am getting name in a paper probably won't be first though) , needless to say he wants me to continue coming on weekend and I feel like quitting , lol

Just came home , 7 20 pm here , lets see if I get anything done in next 5 hours !!!
