saqlain mustock, 34 yrsold bowler is about to start a fresh over to the setled batsman sachin. he has measured the run up , put a mark on the ground to start his run-up, and started to bowl. just before the delivery stride, he stops and checks his grip on the ball. satisfied that everything is fine,he starts his runup again. just before the delivery stride he stops again this time, to check that his run-up is correct. he does this agian and again, match after match.........what is the defence he is protraying?

he is undoing. he has obsessive compulisive disorder. obsession is a recurrent obtrusive thought that keeps coming to them all the time. compulsion is the deed they do, inorder to alleviate the tension/discomfort associated with the obession. he is not confdient about his ability.he is constantly checking his ability. he wants everything perfect. the runup, the grip of the ball,and whether or not the arm is straight and nice while delivering the ball,the delivery stride,he wants everything perfect . these are a pain in the ass for the people who should live with them. hope this helps. i want you guys also post questions which are more like actual exam questions and thus help others
