Hi guys, Very relieved to have passed the final edition of the USMLE. Finally my application is complete for Match 2008 (unlike 2007 which was a big disappointment due to delay in CS caused by visa issues). I have 5-6 months to build on my resume now before I send in my application on September 1. I'm a foreign national and currently on a B1 visa. I've been applying for observerships/research assistantships to a few places but haven't received anything positive yet. I would like to know the opinion of fellow members regarding how to go about doing the same. Any help/guidance/suggestions would be highly appreciated. Thanks a lot everyone. The following are my details: Step 1: May 2006, Passed (First Attempt) – 90/222 Step 2 CK: August 2006, Passed (First Attempt) – 83/204 Step 2 CS: November 2006, Passed (First Attempt) Step 3: March 2007, Passed (First Attempt) – 80/195 ECFMG Certified: February 2007 Graduation: April 2006 Step 3 details: Exam dates: March 9-10, 2007 Score reported: April 4 Score received: April 7 (US address) Study time: 3 weeks Study material: Kaplan notes for Step 3 Actual Exam Score: 80/195 USMLEWorld: range 60-70% (only 300 random, timed questions solved in total) USMLE Practice CD: 70% CCS: 2 full days of practising cases from USMLE CD and mastering the software. 10-15 Cases from USMLEWorld.
