Hi friends

Im taking my step1 this month(april) end.I want to know if I can be eligible for the 2008 match?If so how should I plan my step2 and CS?

I also would like to know if I can apply for the coming match without my CS score..and if I do so what chances do I stand.

Please help me on this.

Hi gonebonkers!

i'm in the same boat...kind of. i'm planning on taking step 1 in june and like you i want know how i should plan my step 2 CK and CS. i've heard that you can apply without your CS score as long as you have scheduled a date for when you are going to take it. but of course, that info may be wrong.

i would appreciate any/all advice/info. please? anyone? thanks in advance.

With Step 1 n Step 2CS u have a Chance of the getting the Match

if ur an img...having cleared step 2 cs gives u an edge.. the reason timing is considered critical is because the max no of interviews u have to garner..which has a better chance of happening if u have cleared all ur step components.that however doesnt mean that if u dont ,no one will offer u an interview...but gicen the level of comp.. it will b to ur advantage to have ur score ready...im not trying to scare u or anything......

if u can manage to give us cs even by august u'll b fine...all the best

Can somebody also tell me briefly about the time you start applying and how to do it?consider that i know very little about it.i'm an img from india and don't know much,and currently since i'm way close to my step 1 i can't spent much time surfing,so i'l be glad if some one who knows everything updates me.

Dude wht r u talking abt Match Process buddy No AMount of Explanations will help u unless n until u dont read them urself Go the Official Websites of ERAS n NRMP Search them on the web n read their FAQs then comeback if u dont still Understand it.

thanks new_n_lost.i checked out those site and have enough information to start with buddy.

just tell me something..... suppose i give my step 2 in july end and want to give CS by august end:

will i be able to prepare for it within a month?

when do i need to apply for CS then?

how long does it take to procure a visa?i'm in india right now and if i want to give CS in august end when shall i aplly for the visa.

i think somebody from india can surely help me on this.
