common things... common managements.. all that what u should know as a graduate. i dont know what my scores r gonna be cause i am still waiting for the result, but i found the exam pretty comfortable. UWorld i did thrice.. doin it makes life comfortable on the exam coz not even one question in my paper was of the same difficulty level. Difficulty level of Exam is somewhere in between Uworld and Bank. Like always NBME will be the best tool to evaluate urself. Dont waste time memorizing the details of Uworld cause they dont go into that much depth.. either the next best step or perhaps the second step question in which they dont give u the diagnosis and ask the management. Scenerios in exam were classical of the disease as given in kaplan. Good luck to all u guys.

somebody told me that the kaplan lecture notes are the abstract of the kaplan videos is that true??

i would suggest u not to go in the exam without watchin the medicine, obgyn and pshyc videos. surgery and peds r not so fruitful, all he does is read out the book.

hey guys.. a little triky to describe how i studied. i have not done step 1, appeared in step 2 first. Graduated exactly a yr from now and after that i have been keeping my clinical knowledge fresh. Step 2 is the third exam i have cleared by studying kaplan. Have already done plab 1 and amc 1.
i did Uworld thrice... even with my last read. Its a wonderful book. Tells u the stepwise management, has all the additional info and teaches u how to concentrate on imp things in the lenghty mcqs. I would advise everyone to do it with the first read. Sounds a little difficult but saves a hell lot of time and makes ur studies mcq oriented right from the first day.
Q bank and book i just did questions and read the explanations of mcqs i got wrong. Never had enough time to read these two books thoroughly.
Kept my mcq solving ability up to date by doing at least 50 mcqs daily. I have found step 2 more of a technical exam. If u know how to read the question and figure out the things u want to concentrate on from the lengthy details...things become easier because there is a lot of useless info in the mcqs even on the exam.
NBME will be the best tool to evaluate urself. Did it a month before the exam. Scored 235 in form 3. I worked hard on my weak areas after that and it paid off.
