I am an old grad and my class mates are practising physicians in cardiology etc In non teaching hospital (No residency programs etc). Is it advisable to do externship/observership under them in this type of hospital and can you please tell me how the LOR is seen/weighed by PD?

its like something is better than nothing.I would start working there and in the meanwhile mail people in teaching institutions for externship or research volunteering.
