can we start with how many ATPs in play in all the major cycles...glycolysis, glycogenolysis, gluconeogenesis, etc...

i would say : 1-3ATPs 2-38 ATPs 3-8 ATPs 4-8 (?) ATPs 1.Py------->Acetyl CoA : NADH is realeased=>3 ATP (the elecron transport chain -->for a NADH u have 3ATPs and for a FADH2 u have 2ATPs) 2.Glucose---->CO2 + H2O (this is aerobic glycolisis + TCA cycle i woud say...am i wrong? maybe i'm wrong guys so correct me if i'm wrong...) from aerobic glycolisis :for 1 Glucose--->2 Py + 2ATP + 2NADH = 2Py + 8ATP from TCA (from 1py--->AcetylCoA :3ATP from 1Acetyl CoA --->2*CO2 + 3 NADH + FADH2 + GTP = 9 + 2 + 1 =12ATP. 12+3=15ATP (from one Py that enters TCA) but i think we have to double , because we have 2Py from glycolisis.=>30 ATP. Finnaly 30 + 8ATP=38 . is this the final answer? 3. Glucose---->Py (aerobic glycolisis) :2ATP + 2NADH =2 ATP + 2*3=8 ATP 4.Glucose------>Ala (first Glucose---->Py : 8ATP) then Py----->Ala (catalyzed by Ala aminotransferase , but i have no idea if it's used or realeased energy) so 8 is the final answer? 5.Palmitate ------>NH4 + CO2 (fatty acid lysis) i have NO IDEA.... can u please tell me the right answers/? L.
