Hey Guys, have any of u been to "usmleforum" recently??? an ethnic war has broken out there with all sort of name calling. its really pitiful that physicians can stoop so low in character.
I am glad at the level of maturity and civility here. Admin and all of us,good job and please keep it up

Yes, I've gone through that forum. Many arguments, aggressive behaviors, ethnic wars and other shameful posts. I also read something pornographic once. A visitor (a lady), probably under the control of alcohol or some recreational drug freed her sexual instincts and sent several embarrassing posts. I couldnt believe it was a medical forum.
Our forum is really great

I never visited anyother forum before. I just came to this one, liked it very much and stuck to this. After reading about the other forum I visited it , wanted to see whats happening but looks like it would take a long time for me to go thru the posts or search to know when and how it all started ( I am not curious anymore ). But did not want to lose the chance of letting people know why I like this forum why I am still here and why I did not even feel for a sec to check out other forums.As you people know its only when you see the bad you can appreciate the good or its only when you are away from your loved ones you realise how much you really love them.
When I visited this first, I liked the colour combination of this web page. Very elegant, the colours ( white and blue) are not disturbing, soothing to the eyes. The modarators and the members have really contributed very much to keep this forum clean and going. People are active and hard working. I learn new concepts everyday, get a lot of variety of challenging never ending, infinite number of new questions ( very helpful for the USMLE preparation ). Very supporting and one can not only share and clear the doubts and discuss regarding the concepts but can also get guidance and moral support which is as much important to pass the exams. Every one has control over their emotions, everyone is so modest. Even if something happens to be taken personal or offensive , that is either neglected or is dealt with modestly. Look at BBB who being a program coordinator does not take things too personal even when some do ask him/her inappropriate questions. And the best part is if somebody does ask such a question to BBB or to anybody else, other members of the forum apologise for such a behaviour. I have not seen so much integrity and love anywhere ( especially between people coming from different countries, background, culture and people who have never seen or met each other ).
I am very happy to be a part of this forum and thankful to those who have created this.

Doc179 - my hat goes off before you for your sincere and strong (in very good sence) words...you are soo right - while we are in such demanding and insanly tense race holding on our dreams we still have to remember - WE ARE HUMANS and have to stay humans till the end. doctors or not...
and i did visit other forums, couldn't say why i chose to this one in the beginning, but having spent some time in it i do now - it feels good to speak and be heard, share your problems and doubts and be supported.
Members and Moderators, and Creators - thank you for that.

Yes, usmleforum is very disorganised, it's a disaster to look into. To search the threads you posted into you have to write down somewhere the names or put a little word as bookmark inside so you can search it... but it has soooo many users!!! A lot of people with a lot of valuable information... The best thing would be to make all those users register and post regularly on prep4usmle, or organise it a little bit, 'cause now it's chaos; the thing that I donnot understand is why people accept it... there are also a few forums, very well organised and nice (SDN valueMD) but they lack the numbers of IMGs/international students so it is worthless to be a regular visitor there...
So please post any ideas on how to make them come here

Thank God For this Forum Man I have Just Visited the Usmleforum Man its crazy over there, Its literally pathetic Man r these ppl for real I think that Lady n th eDude who r fighting they really look like 2 recent divorcees on a warpath n for no apparent reason draging Religion into it Literally Dude went to the Extent that he said he wud call the FBI n the others simply say dude that will close the down the Forum I believe Many of the P4U Members r also there or maybe i have seen similar names but thats really embrassing to US ALL. THey r acting as if they r in High School.
I Wud Really Like to Thank the ADMINISTRATOR for doing an Excellent Job MAn I really appreciate it i have never been to that Forum or any other for that matter I was recommended by a friend to visit here n found my place liked the Order of things the Placement of topics Man this is a Good Place

I agree with you guys. That usmleforum is completely disorganized, there aren't moderators (or if there are, they don't do their job), there aren't rules or they aren't followed, there are aggresive, disrespectful, rude and even vulgar or loud comments. It's a shame, and more if you remember those comments are posted by doctors, who should be educated people. It's chaotic.
I've visited other forums for usmle preparation and I must say this is the best forum for usmle/match for IMGs. Why IMGs? because I think most of the members out here are IMGs. And it has a lot to do with our administrator, prep4usmle. He has done an EXCELLENT job here.

Check this out: I started a thread there regarding the malpractice insurance for electives in the US. I posted after the post from abouve a call for people to come visit this forum 'cause of this one has it's feet on the ground. When I submited my post they didn't post it and I ended up each time on the main page. I wrote the link with spaces and they let me post it. I guess there's some kind of program there that wouldn't let anyone post a link to this forum. Akward!!!
