I have been a little, tiny Obs, with the formula and I found out that "sometimes" is right on the money, Another variant that is really close is 2X UW%+84= 3 DIGIT SCORE.
But if you want to be in top of the game you can try this one
2X UW%+ 70=
Allways gives you a score bellow what you would get on the test, in one way is better it makes you push more for a better score and then WALA A much better score

The formula 2x UW +84 gave me the exact score I got in NBME 4
